Tarik Alshaikh, D.O.

Dr. Alshaikh is a board certified psychiatrist who has practiced in various psychiatric settings, including Inpatient, Outpatient, Addictions, Consultation-Liaison, Corrections and Geriatric Psychiatry. He graduated magna cum laude from Northern Illinois University in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences, and a minor in Chemistry. Dr. Alshaikh completed medical school with a D.O. degree at Western University of Health Sciences. He completed his psychiatric residency at University of Nevada School of Medicine in 2015. He also served as Chief Resident during his fourth year of residency, at which time he was awarded “Master of PRITE” for achieving the highest score (98th percentile nationwide) on the Psychiatry Resident-In-Training Examination.

Dr. Alshaikh has been a member of Focus Mental Health Solutions since graduating residency and has served as the Early Career Psychiatrist representative for the Nevada Psychiatric Association.
