Suresh Bhushan, M.D.

Dr. Bhushan graduated with a medical degree from Bangalore Medical College, India in 1997, after which he relocated to the United Kingdom where he completed specialist training in psychiatry at The Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust, in West Midlands, UK. In 2003 he relocated to New York where he trained in general adult psychiatry at The Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center in Brooklyn, one of the largest and busiest comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Programs in New York. He served as chief resident during the academic year 2006-2007. In 2007 he relocated to Nevada where he worked as a senior staff psychiatrist for Southern Nevada Adult Mental Health from 2007-2012 providing care both in inpatient and outpatient settings.

During his time in training in the UK and US, he has received extensive training under the guidance of renowned educators in the fields of emergency psychiatry, general adult psychiatry, geriatric psychiatry, child and adolescent psychiatry, forensic psychiatry and electroconvulsive therapy.

He eventually moved into private practice in 2012 when he and two colleagues Drs. Wirjo and Manjooran formed Focus Mental Health Solutions.

Dr. Bhushan currently works as an inpatient psychiatrist at Southern Hills Hospital, Pavilion behavioral health unit. He is currently an active member of the American Psychiatric Association and the Nevada Psychiatry Association. His areas of interest include community psychiatry, emergency psychiatry, first-break psychosis, mood disorders, and neuropsychiatric disorders and electroconvulsive therapy.
