Katie Ralston, PMHNP-BC

Katie believes in working towards ending the stigma of talking about mental health. She is a supporter of youth empowerment, alleviating mental health stressors, and advocating for social justice within the mental health community. Planning individualized compassionate care to meet the clients’ expectations and goals is essential. 

 

Katie started her career at UNLV with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film, from there she worked as a photojournalist covering social injustices within documentary news. In 2017 she graduated from Roseman University of Health Sciences with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. While working as a nurse she found her passion for psychiatry helping those suffering from anxiety, depression, dementia, PTSD, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and personality disorders. She recently graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with a Master of Science in nursing with a mental health specialty, across the lifespan. There she completed her graduate thesis on music therapy for depression treatment for adolescents.  

 

In her free time, she loves to travel, and continue her love for the arts by working on film projects.
